It feels as if it was just yesterday, I was all exited about my trip to LA(The Entertainment Capital of the world). I visited Universal Studios, acres of land filled with the artificial setup for fire hazards, the plane crashes(believe me guys they have the crashed plane from war of worlds), the world's biggest ocean back drop and not to forget the big ship (actually a tiny winy model) used for sailing along the massive oceans( factually a small lake) in the movie "kingkong" How could I possibly ever guess that some of it was to be turned to ashes in just a few days......
Fire strikes Universal Studios lot
'It looked like a disaster film,' LA official says
Los Angeles Times / June 2, 2008LOS ANGELES - A massive fire swept through the Universal Studios back lot in Universal City yesterday, destroying a sound stage, several sets, and a vault containing about 40,000 duplicate videos and film reels.
The headlines reads in the paper and I am all shocked. The 400-acre property, the Courthouse Square set seen in "Back to the Future", the New York street that was used in the 1987 "Dragnet" film and "Bruce Almighty." The Universal theme park's King Kong attraction which took efforts of so many people and long long years completely being ruined and destroyed.Suddenly made me stop and think for a while about the "MOTHER NATURE". The mother who takes care of us in every possible way(in spite of we exploiting it in every possibly way) if turns her back to us can create disasters.
How are we to escape from the nature if she really fixes on destruction.....There is no answer to this question. And here we are still unable to realize what is the fact that lies beyond such natural calamities and still ruining our future, being ignorant to the lessons being taught, being unfair to the generations to come by...
This made me think.... I guess this made me write my first blog.... so here I am... putting my thoughts together.. and wondering if we would ever change our ways!!!!!!!
